About the Dorrance Scholarship

Founded in 1999 by Mrs. and Mr. Dorrance

The Dorrance Scholarship helps Arizona students become the first in their families to graduate from college.

The provides financial support, academic guidance, and experiences that make college not just possible, but rewarding. Since 1999, more than 750 students have been awarded a Dorrance Scholarship.

Supporting Arizona Students

The Dorrance Scholarship welcomes motivated high school students from across Arizona who are heading to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona. The scholarship offers support beyond financial aid, including programming that focuses on academic and personal enrichment.

How the Program Works

Paying for College

Each scholar receives a generous $12,000 scholarship every year for four years. That’s over $100,000 in total support covering tuition, fees, books, and everything else you need. No more worrying about finances. Just focus on learning, growing, and enjoying your college experience.

Succeeding Academically

You’ll start your journey with our welcoming Orientation and Summer Bridge program, where you’ll get comfortable with college life and meet other scholars. Your dedicated advisor becomes your go-to person for everything, checking in regularly and celebrating your wins. And when you need help with coursework, tutoring support is always there.

Building Camaraderie

You’ll travel internationally, dive into innovation projects, and experience cultural events that broaden your horizons. Study the humanities, develop entrepreneurship skills, explore study abroad adventures, and build friendships that last a lifetime. These are the experiences that make college unforgettable.
